Publisher Akupara Games and developer Moonlight Kids have announced that Echo Weaver, the fast-paced “metroidBRAINia” game, will launch for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2025. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
Echo Weaver is a unique time-loop adventure that tells the story of a ruined society trapped in a fatal time loop. You take on the role of the last Weaver, a remnant of this society, and must uncover the mysteries of their world, and their own past, by exploring beautifully drawn biomes, helping quirky survivors, and tracking down leads.
The game challenges you to use each loop to chip away at the mystery, fine-tuning their skills to blaze through new routes, harvest potent “echoes,” and unlock game-altering secrets and shortcuts. By gaining powerful knowledge, you can reshape the timeline and master the loop, weaving a new fate for those trapped within.
Echo Weaver stands out with its innovative “metroidBRAINia” design, where knowledge is the only gear you need. Unlike traditional metroidvania games that rely on upgrades and unlocks, it focuses on discovering secrets and learning new ways to navigate the world.
