The relaxing castle-building game Tiny Glade has been a huge success for Swedish indie studio Pounce Light, reaching over 500,000 unique players just two weeks after its launch on September 23. The game, developed by Anastasia Opara and Tomasz Stachowiak, is currently available only on Steam and has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Pounce Light shared the exciting news in a blog post, with Opara calling the milestone “bonkers.” The game’s success has given the small two-person team enough resources to continue supporting it with new content updates in the future, though they plan to take a short break before diving back into development.
Tiny Glade offers a relaxing experience focused on building 3D dioramas of castles without the usual city-builder mechanics like combat or management. The game had already gained significant interest prior to its release, surpassing 1 million wishlists in June.
The game has also been nominated for Best Self-published Indie Game at the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards, standing alongside titles like Another Crab’s Treasure and Little Kitty, Big City. Despite being developed by just two people, Tiny Glade has quickly made its mark in the gaming world.
