From the creators at Ancient Forge, the studio behind Blockbuster Inc. and The Tenants, comes Hotel Galactic, a narrative-driven simulation and management game. The game was officially announced last June during the PC Gaming Show, followed by a Kickstarter campaign that exceeded all its goals. Last week, a new demo version was released on Steam, offering around two hours of gameplay.

Inspired by the enchanting worlds of Studio Ghibli, this title blends nostalgic charm with modern simulation mechanics. The story follows the transformation of a run-down intergalactic hotel on a magical floating island into a thriving tourist hub, guided by the spirit of Grandpa Gustav, who seeks redemption in a tale filled with lost love and revenge.

The game is built around three core pillars: construction and customization, resource management, and exploration and crafting. Running the hotel involves hiring and overseeing a diverse alien workforce while balancing their needs with guest satisfaction. Exploration allows players to gather extraterrestrial resources, cultivate gardens, and delve into underground complexes to unlock new materials, tools, and technologies.

The full version of Hotel Galactic is set to launch in 2025 for PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, though exact console release dates have yet to be confirmed.
