During the Top Hat Studios Showcase, developer Almenara Games took the chance to reveal the first gameplay trailer for their survival horror game Rogue Mansion, which offered a glimpse into the game’s ever-shifting mansion and tense atmosphere. Rogue Mansion is planned for PC via Steam and consoles, though a release date remains unconfirmed, with a tentative window of late 2025.
Rogue Mansion is set in the fictional Greenhart City in 1999, where the opulent Rogue Mansion has become a source of dread. You control a group of strangers trapped inside its ever-changing halls, facing horrors that evoke late-90s survival horror classics like Resident Evil. The game combines psychological horror with roguelike elements, ensuring each run is unique through procedurally generated layouts.
The trailer highlighted the game’s third-person and first-person perspectives, with characters wielding weapons like pistols and shotguns against zombie-like enemies. Puzzles, such as unlocking a safe or finding hidden keys, were teased, echoing the resource management and exploration that are important in Rouge Mansion. With limited ammo and health items, the permadeath system adds even higher stakes to every decision.
