Deadly Quiet Reveals Tense Co-op Horror Gameplay with a Twist

Indie developers Tarba Paul Cornel and Abdul Rafy have shared the first gameplay footage for Deadly Quiet, a co-op asymmetrical horror game set to test friendships and survival instincts. The game is slated for release on PC via Steam on April 15, 2025, and immerses you in a chilling first-person experience through a bodycam perspective.

In Deadly Quiet, up to four players embark on a weekend camping trip in Romania’s infamous Hoia Baciu forest, known for its paranormal folklore. After a car accident leaves the group stranded with no cell signal and night falling, they must trek to the nearby town of Cluj. But a sinister presence stalks the woods, drawn to noise, making silence a matter of survival.

Teamwork and communication are vital, yet the game’s core twist – STAY QUIET – turns every word into a potential death sentence, as the forest reacts to sounds through dynamic sound sensitivity, amplifying the tension. Proximity voice chat adds realism, letting you communicate naturally, but excessive noise risks attracting the forest’s terrifying creatures, making every conversation a high-stakes gamble.

Deadly Quiet offers multiple ways to engage with its central threat, the Wendigo. You can choose to align with the creature, assist their teammates, or employ tactics like electrocution, burning, or crucifixion to confront it. Strategic options abound, from setting traps to calling the police or escaping by car, giving you freedom to outsmart your foes.
