The upcoming action-adventure game Aeterna Lucis, published by Aeternum Game Studios, serves as the sequel to the critically acclaimed Aeterna Noctis from 2021. Originally set to release last year, the studio decided to delay the game to allow for additional polish and the implementation of advanced technologies, such as improved lighting.
Aeterna Lucis is now scheduled for release in September 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This time, the focus shifts to a new protagonist, the Queen of Light, who awakens in a world on the brink of collapse, facing the challenge of preventing the universe’s downfall and seeking out her old adversary.
Nakon događaja iz Aeterna Noctis, gdje su kralj tame i kraljica svjetlosti prokleti da se vječno bore, ravnoteža između svjetlosti i tame iznenada je narušena. Aeterna Lucis donosi klasičnu Metroidvania formulu, zadržavajući dinamične borbe i istraživanje povezanih mapa koje su obilježile prethodnu igru, ali uvodi i nove sposobnosti i oružja specifična za kraljicu svjetlosti. Svijet igre obuhvaća različite lokacije, od pejzaža inspiriranih vitrajima do opasnih tama, s impresivnim boss borbama koje testiraju vaše vještine.
