During the Nintendo Direct Showcase, Chucklefish unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated life sim Witchbrook. Co-developed by Chucklefish and Robotality, the game is set to launch this winter on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Xbox, offering a unique school-life experience in a world filled with magic.

Set in the charming coastal town of Mossport and its surrounding mystical forests, the game follows the daily lives of students at Witchbrook College. Between magic classes, players can explore the forests, participate in seasonal events, sell handcrafted goods at the marketplace, or decorate their own woodland cottage. Online co-op will allow up to four players to experience the magic of the academy together.

Rodrigo Braz Monteiro, one of the key developers, highlighted that Witchbrook delivers an impressive level of detail for an indie project, blending pixel art aesthetics with deep interaction systems. Art director Steph Caskenette added: “This game is like a love letter to the simple magic of everyday life.”
