Sabotage Studio has just released Dawn of Equinox, a major content update for its beloved RPG Sea of Stars, available now across all platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Inspired by classic 90s RPGs, Sea of Stars has already made waves for its nostalgic yet innovative gameplay, and this free update further enhances the experience with exciting new features and refinements.
For the first time, Sea of Stars can now be enjoyed by up to three players, thanks to a new co-op mode that allows friends to experience the entire story together. Players will use the new “Co-op Timed Hits” combat mechanic, adding depth and collaboration to battles.
Dawn of Equinox introduces Combat 2.0, a reimagining of the game’s combat mechanics. The addition of “Mystery Locks” adds a new strategic element, requiring players to reveal and break enemy spells as they encounter different types of foes. Combo Points, which now persist after battles, open up opportunities for unique strategies and creative attack combinations.
In conjunction with the update, Sabotage Studio has released a gameplay launch trailer showcasing these new features and providing players with a sneak peek at the enhanced combat, cooperative play, and storytelling elements that await them.
