Welcome to Indie Pick of the Week, your go-to source for discovering the latest and greatest indie games. This week, we decided to take a deeper dive into X (formerly Twitter) and explore the indie games showing on it these days. There are a lot of indie games, it is not possible to watch and play them all, however, these following games caught our eye and we believe they deserve their own space. In addition, every week we will select developers who have stood out with their game.
This week also saw the start of IndieCade which will run until November 17th, organized by an expansive team of dedicated individuals who truly believe they can impact the industry and ultimately the way the world plays, understands and is affected by games. To this end, IndieCade supports independent game development and a series of international events that showcase their future.
The Indie Pick of the Week will be one of our features where we'll try to introduce you to the different indie games coming out this year. The feature will be published every Saturday.
DRAKE
DRAKE is an isometric action RPG, enriched with an impressive story and character development. Set in a densely designed space western setting, it draws inspiration from series such as The Mandalorian, Firefly and Trigun. The game brings a modern twist to classic RPG games. Interesting story elements blend perfectly with dynamic top-down shooting action, all powered by a unique trait progression system.
Your choices affect not only the state of the world and the events that unfold, but also the personality of your protagonist. Although it doesn't have an official release date yet, you can learn more about DRAKE via Steam.
BECROWNED
BECROWNED is a surreal survival horror set in a world between reality and dreams. Carefully explore the world, manage your resources wisely, search for answers to puzzles and experience the fear of encountering unknown entities. Every decision you make affects every aspect of the world. A complete solution requires several playthroughs.
You can find out more about BECROWNED via Steam, which still doesn't have a specific release date.
Hidden Pass
Hidden Pass is a tactical turn-based RPG with elements of 4X strategy in which you lead an expedition into the center of a vast group of uncharted islands floating in the sky. The game takes place in the Technomagic world where your home is the Wanderer's Tower, which you can upgrade. As players, you will fight through hordes of vicious monsters and the goal is to defeat the opposing factions.
All interested players can learn more about this game via Steam. Hidden Pass doesn't have a release date yet.
Builders of Greece
Immerse yourself in a beautifully recreated golden age of the Hellenic city-states. Builders of Greece is a city management game that lets you show off your strategic and economic skills. Build your polis from scratch, make important decisions, trade, fight and expand to become the ultimate ruler. That said, rest assured that you will face many challenges, unexpected events, and promising opportunities along your journey.

Noreya: The Gold Project
Noreya: The Gold Project is a 2D pixel-art metroidvania game set in a dark fantasy universe. The game offers players a choice between allegiance to the Gods of Light and Shadow or the Gods of Corruption and Gold. Decisions made in the game affect the player's progress by unlocking new paths or abilities. The game's key art creates a unique experience for players where every playthrough is not the same.
You can learn more about this game via Steam, and will be officially released this Tuesday, November 7.
Developer Spotlight
Solo developer Steelkrill Studio this week certainly interested horror game fans with its game Rotten Flesh, which can boast of its a unique way of using the microphone for gaming. As players, you have to call out your dog's name in the hope that it will bark by chance to finally find it. However, like any normal human, you must venture deep into the sewers where your dog is lost, all the while something else can also hear your cries such as malevolent creatures, strange cultists, decaying corpses, and nightmarish entities.
Although it doesn't have an official release date yet, Rotten Flesh will launch first on Steam in Early Access, and you can certainly expect a quality title as Steelkrill Studio is known for its acclaimed games such as The Backrooms 1998 and The Voidness, which received positive reviews from Steam players.
Newest Releases
The Lord of The Rings: Return to Moria is your typical survival, crafting and adventure title where you will build bases, mine, fight various enemies and progress further from time to time. However, I believe that this game has received somewhat harsher criticism and comments from players than it deserves. Yes, the game is full of bugs, has performance issues, some elements such as combat are not well designed, but it can really surprise you with its rich Middle-earth lore and multiplayer gameplay. You can read more about this game in our review.
Chaos on Wheels is the latest entry in racing shooter titles and is one of the better indie games this year. Don't expect anything spectacular, this game was developed for several years by a small team from Croatia, and what it offers us, we haven't seen for many years. We had the opportunity to interview developers and get to know the game a little better, the main goal of which is to restore old experiences with combat vehicles. Then we can talk about titles such as Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8, on which the concept of Chaos on Wheels is based. As the premise of this game, artificial intelligence is in the foreground, where the rogue program Helios has taken control of everything in its desire to rule the world. However, his plans will be spoiled by a few drivers with whom we play and try to create "chaos on wheels". You can read more about this game in our review.
